The annual international beach festival that celebrates urban music of African Origin has been going on for some time now. Ever since the President of Ghana, Nana Akuffo Addo declared this year as the year of return, many people of African descent in the diaspora have returned to visit Ghana and get in touch with their roots.
This year, the festival that is predominatly organized in Europe is returning to Ghana with a lot of pomp and pageantry. It is scheduled to occur from the 27th of December which is a Friday to the very last day of December, 31st which is a Tuesday at the Laboma Beach Resort, Accra, Ghana which is less than 30 minutes’ drive from The Green Views Apartments and the Kotoka International Airport. The festival will begin in the afternoon of each day and run into the early hours of the next day.
Artistes on the Bill
The program is going to feature a host of trending artistes who will entertain audiences with good music and will make audience have never-to-forget experiences. Some of the artistes featured (in alphabetical order) include: Akala, Eddy Kenzo, Efya, Falz, Fireboy, Innoss’B, Kidi, Kofi Kinaata, Kuami Eugene, Kwesi Arthur, La Meme Gang, Mayorkun, Medikal, Moonchild Sanelly, Naira Marley, Navy Kenzo, Not3S, Rema, Rotimi, Santi, Teni, The Compozers, Tion Wayne, Wendy Shay, Yxing Bane, Zlatan.
The DJs that would be either playing with the artistes or do their thing are: Distruction Boyz, DJ Obi, DJ So Good, DJ Vyrusky. British-Congolese comedian, presenter, actor and MC Eddie Kadi is going to be the host of the festival, so you would also have to expect some rib-cracking moments.
The Headliners for the festival include: Black, Alkaline, Burna Boy, D’Banj, Davido, Olamide, R2Bees, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Wizkid. So anyone who goes is sure to have a great time at the festival.
Afro Nation Music Festival Ticket Information
General Admission Tickets for Afro Nation Music Festival include four-day access to the main area of the festival, whiles the VIP Tickets include general admission access plus fast track entry and access to the festival VIP area which includes a dedicated area and a private bar. It is important to note that Drinks and tables are not included in the ticket price.
Ticket releases: There is actually no difference between the Early bird, 1st and 2nd release tickets. The catch is that the 1st release tickets go on sale later than the Early bird tickets, and the 2nd release tickets go on sale later than the 1st release tickets. As more tickets are released, they go up in price and so it is most advantageous to purchase the tickets as early as possible. If necessary it is possible to book flights and accommodation too.
It is important to note that all attendees of the festival would have to be 18 years of age and above.
